About John

John Walters began his career in tree care in 1988 in New Jersey. His first job? Planting 12 Bradford Pears between the sidewalk and the street on a corner lot—an unfortunate choice of both site and species (we’ve since sworn off Bradfords). But it was the ‘80s, and good taste wasn’t exactly the standard (see: mullets).
Since then, John has planted thousands of trees, treated millions across the U.S., and spent decades learning, refining, and innovating.
With 37 years in the field, John has never been one to sit behind a desk. His work has always been hands-on—solving real problems, standing among the trees, and earning a reputation built purely on results. His clients come almost exclusively through referrals, because when you’re good at what you do, the work finds you.
Drawing from broad experience, John has developed tree care strategies that challenge conventional thinking. He approaches trees from the homeowner’s perspective, focusing on long-term health rather than industry norms. He’s never been afraid to push back against ineffective or harmful practices—like trunk injections—when better solutions exist.

About Miranda

Miranda started working with her dad when she was around 12 years old. She wasn’t felling Trees, or running crews, but she had a real head (and heart) for the science. Understanding Biology has always been easy for her, and it really comes out when she is working with trees.

She is one of the youngest ISA Certified Arborists in the US right now. With a real understanding of the process, she knows that Certification is just the beginning of her path. It is where she starts. She has a natural ability to diagnose Trees, analyze their environment, and explain in layman’s terms what is going on to the client.

Lately she has been helping dad with analysis of properties, and correcting his mistakes…

About Josh

Josh started working with Trees when he was 8 years old. Unloading Pickup trucks filled with firewood for $5 per truckload. He thought he died and went to heaven. He once begged to go watch a friend of mine Ryan Torciccollo take down a large Willow.  You’d a thought he was in church watching him… He was riveted. Josh has been a “physical” kind of guy preferring the outdoors to anything else.

He didnt know then that would begin his career as a tree Climber and Pruner, but it did and he couldnt be happier about it.
The last few years he was in Central Texas climbing and pruning Hertitage Oaks, some as old as 400 years…

Missing the High desert mountains of Utah, he wanted to return and build his career here in Park City.
