Services

Tree Services
This is where the needs of trees vary greatly depending on your environment and other factors.
Tree Services
There is no one size fits all on the services. Most Tree Company approaches are built around recurring services that can be applied to each species several times a year in an attempt to make certain that you have no problems. It doesn’t work, because most of these services are the wrong services. It’s an over reliance on chemistry, and a great way to grow a revenue base. It is also unnecessary. Trees need help here, and some more than others, but does every property really need the same thing?
I would much rather come and see what you have and how we can use your environment to not only promote health and vigor, but also to minimize the need for chemical treatments. For example, your Conifers may be damaged far more by poor irrigation and salt build up than a lack of fertilizer.Your Aspen may be in a windy enough location that they don’t need to have automatic insect or disease treatments. Wind is the natural enemy of Insects and can dry out leaf tissue before disease can establish itself. Promontory is good example of this.

Vole and Potgut Control
Voles
(Park City’s Own Plague)
Anyone not new to Park City knows full well the damage that these guys can do to an expensive landscape.
Often lawns are found destroyed in the Spring when the snow melts back…
Trees are gnawed at the base, girdling and killing them.
The costs get very expensive to repair and replace all those plants. Often losing the entire season to recovery.
The problem is they spend the winter under the snows protection eating (your plants) and reproducing which magnifies the damage…
When I first arrived in PC in 2006 I tried a few things like bait stations, and spraying the lawn with something unpleasant, and though it made a difference, it was never great control. Bait is an awful idea anyway. One poisoned Vole that gets eaten can kill an entire family of predators. Making things worse, because one fox can eat 1,000 Voles in its lifetime.
Not a good trade off. I’ve since learned the real secret to getting them off the property and keeping them off. Without any harm or deterrent to the predators…
We have a process we call Vole-Out™ and we come in and do 3 treatments a year for less than the cost of the standard bait stations and repellants. If the infestation is bad, we may need do a more intense treatment the first time, but after they are gone, we keep them out with the 3 standard treatments a year.
If you would like a price, just let us know it’s less than you might think.

Noxious Weed Controls
Noxious Weeds and the Ecosystem
A healthy environment is made up of plants, trees, grasses, and wildlife that have grown together over time. They form a natural balance, including the microbes in the soil. Everything supports each other—nothing takes over.
Noxious weeds are invasive plants that don’t belong. They upset that balance by using up resources, crowding out native plants, and harming wildlife. Some make land unusable for grazing or farming. Others raise the risk of wildfires.
In some cases, weeds like **thistle** can drive away predators like foxes and coyotes. That allows pests like **voles** to take over, leading to erosion and serious land damage.
Because of these risks, Utah law requires that noxious weeds be controlled. Whether you use organic or synthetic herbicides, it’s in everyone’s best interest—especially if you have native land to protect.
